Oil painting original 'Sunset's Silhouette'

UPDATE: READY To Ship! Although the thickest areas of paint are still a bit soft inside. This piece is Finally; Ready to Ship. The thick impasto style I enjoy using with the paint adds to the sculptural quality of my work, but also adds to the drying time.

Those of you that have following the progress of this painting already know, but it is very special to me. 'Sunset Silhouette' is the very 1st painting I created specifically to be released through Etsy. It has only ever been publicly viewed at my wife's cake shop; "Guy's Cake Supplies", here in Southern California.

'Sunset Silhouette' is
24"x48" original oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas (this allows it to be displayed with or without a frame). A study in color between the shadows and dwindling evening light. I was inspired to create this painting due to the transition from green to blue to black when watching a sunset while on a walk near my home. The natural transition of colors that are created each evening has always fascinated me and I love the challenge that nature hands me to capture its beauty.
